Nestling peregrine falcon, 29 days old, stretching wing. At this age there is no down on the sides of its head and less than typical down remaining on the top of its head. This nestling seems to have been the first hatched but by less than 24 hours according to time-stamped trail camera images, yet shows noticeably more feather development and less down. © David A.
